I was recently able to go on a road trip with a close friend. It’s strange and wonderful to have an opportunity to travel again after so long in one place. Prior to the pandemic, I had been planning to travel quite a bit, so finally being able to fulfill that ambition, albeit over a year later and very differently than expected, was a relief.
We visited a large number of states. It was interesting to see not just the natural beauty of various parts of the country, but also how the pandemic has impacted and been handled by different places in different ways.
Here’s a few snapshots my friend and I took with our phones during the trip to remember it - mostly their work.
I was also able to reconnect with some old friends I hadn’t seen in a number of years. In a way, it felt like cramming months worth of normal social interaction and traveling into a few short weeks. It was wonderful, but I’m happy to be home.
It’s been a while since I updated this place. It’s good to be back. Much like traveling, it feels long overdue.
